deep waters:
chapter 1:
It was the year of 1953.
A young girl, only seven at the time, sat in the living room, holding her feet and thinking about the ocean that creeps next to her parent's small apartment building.
"Look at the lake, love." Johnny, her father, said quietly to his wife, Ally. "It's beautiful dear.." She sighed hesitantly, looking at the sun spill over the waters like watercolors. "What do you think Alex, should we go for a boat ride?" Johnny asked the daughter. "Yes daddy!" Alex yelled loudly. And they were off.
Johnny got the boat started. The family got into the boat and gazed at the sunset. It was surely a loving site. Accept it started to get dark, and the family was in the mid Atlantic. No one was around accept for them.
Alex played with the water cheerfully, sticking her hand into the water as the boat went to top speed. She giggled in delight. Ally smiled, she couldn't ask for a more perfect family. Johnny smiled, he was such a responsible father.
Around thirty minutes later, Johnny decided they should start to head home. But his breaks were jammed, and his boat was at top speed. His steering started to get somewhat clumsy and he was having a hard time. Ally put Alex on her lap. "Johnny, stop... You're going too fast..!" Ally started to yell.
"Daddy!" Alex started to yell. The boat was in a lock position, and he had no choice but to turn the boat to a sharp left turn.
Everything was silent.
Ally and Johnny grabbed hold of one another and pulled themselves to the surface. "Where's Alexandra!?" Ally yelled, "I thought she was with you!" The parents started yelling her name, but they couldn't see in the pitch black water with salt in their eyes.
Alex had fell into the water. She saw the surface but she couldn't get up. She yelled trying to get air, but she wasn't afraid... She braced herself for an impact.
Her whole word was closed off at the time, all she saw was darkness.
She found herself with her dad. She was coughing up water, but was still alright.
The family swam over to an old lighthouse with a pier around it. The family walked up the wet stairs, being careful not to slip.
They walked inside and saw labels, "Andrew Ryan". They read on different signs and such.
They walked near a bathyspear. They knew there was no other way out but to go down to this city.
